Passkey is led by a seasoned management team with a wealth of experience in meeting planning, group housing, hotel management, database development and management, and Internet and software technologies.
Greg Pesik, President
and CEO
Greg brings extensive hospitality and travel information technology
experience to Passkey. Prior to joining Passkey, Greg served
as Senior Vice President of Transport, Travel, and Hospitality
at Talus Solutions which was acquired by Manugistics in late
2001. During his tenure, Pesik helped position the company as
the leading provider of profit optimization technologies and
orchestrated Talus Solution's move into new industries such
as gaming. Before joining Passkey, Greg oversaw an industry
portfolio that included hotels, passenger airlines, cruise lines,
cargo, ocean shipping, rail, trucking, and rental cars.
Prior to Talus Solutions, Greg was Vice President and Director
of Business Development at Aeronomics, Inc. where he first entered
the field of yield and revenue management software. He has also
held lead consulting and management positions for Andersen Consulting
(Accenture) and KPMG Peat Marwick (Bearing Point), both in the
fields of hospitality and travel. He is a frequent guest lecturer
at Cornell University and speaker at industry forums. Greg holds
an MBA from the Johnson School at Cornell University and a Bachelor
of Science degree from the Cornell School of Hotel Administration.
Paul Rantilla, Senior
Vice President of Global Sales
Paul joined Passkey in March 2002 to head up sales, drawing
business opportunities from across all channels of the meetings
and conventions industry. He most recently served as Director
of Sales for Newmarket International, Inc. in Portsmouth, New
Hampshire where he successfully managed an extensive sales force
in North America and Asia Pacific, and was responsible for revenue
growth rates of as much as 25% within a single fiscal year.
He began his career with the company in 1995, holding several
positions, all of them related to software technology sales.
As Regional Sales Director, Paul was named top producer of achieved
sales. He then was promoted to managing director, Asia Pacific,
and enjoyed great successes closing contracts with a number
of major hotel operations. Paul received his degree in Business
Administration from the University of New Hampshire.
Steven L. Shapiro,
CFO and Senior Vice President of Operations
Steve Shapiro has over 25 years of financial, administrative and operational management experience. He is a versatile Chief Financial Officer with a history of accomplishments, including leading a successful IPO. Prior to joining Passkey in September 2005, Steve was Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer at SquareAnswer, an internet technology company. Previously, he had been the CFO at diverse companies within the software, telecom, technology, bioscience and retail industries. Steve began his career in public accounting and was a Senior Manager at Arthur Andersen. He is a Certified Public Accountant and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts.
Alicia Moran, Vice President,
Client Services and Results Delivery
Alicia has nearly two decades of sales, marketing and management experience in the meetings and hospitality industries. Prior to joining Passkey, Alicia was Vice President, Sales and Marketing, for Event Travel Management, Inc., an early adopter of Passkey applications for expositions, trade shows and conferences in the Information Technologies industry. Previously, she was with Globetrotters of Cambridge, MA, a travel industry wholesaler, for eight years, where she joined as a Marketing Manager and left as Vice President of Marketing. Alicia holds a business management degree from Providence College.
Sam Fahmy, Vice President
of Marketing & Products
Prior to joining Passkey, Sam co-founded and led marketing, products and strategy at Bungo, an award-winning on-line software company. During his career at Bungo, Sam grew the company from concept into a venture-backed, high-growth software company with hundreds of thousands of users, a stellar list of Fortune 1000 customers and growing international presence.
Before Bungo, Sam was senior executive at Japonica Partners, a leading buyouts and management firm, where he was instrumental in several landmark transactions that netted over $2 billion in value for stakeholders. Sam spearheaded massive revenue and profit growth at Sunbeam, contributing to the spectacular 18-month turnaround and $1.2 billion initial public offering of the company. Sam started his career in brand management at Procter & Gamble, received a Bachelor of Science in Physics from American University, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame.
Scott Rudberg, Vice President of Engineering
Scott Rudberg joined Passkey in 1997 and has held various key roles including Director of Product Management and Director of Engineering and is currently the Vice President of Engineering. In his time at Passkey, Scott has directed the design and development of every Passkey product and release. Scott has over 18 years experience managing the development of software products and systems, with over 9 years developing web-based solutions for the Meetings and Hospitality Industry. His other experience includes guidance system engineering for missile defense systems at Raytheon where he started his career, to product management of software development tools and call center applications for Conextions. Scott holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Tufts University and an MBA from the F W Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College.
