Greg Malark

Greg Malark is Chief Operating Officer for HelmsBriscoe. As the global leader in meetings procurement for corporate and association clients, HelmsBriscoe has the industry’s largest network of meeting specialists, with 900 associates spanning 34 countries. Three out of every four Fortune 200 companies have used HelmsBriscoe for their site selection and meeting management offerings. As a result, the company has experienced phenomenal year over year growth, including booking 20,000 events in 2006 that represented over a billion dollars in meeting spend.

In addition to responsibility for the day to day operations of HelmsBriscoe, Greg serves as president of ResourceOne, the company’s full service planning subsidiary. ResourceOne offerings span a variety of services such as housing and registration, group air and ground transportation, logistics, production, exhibit management, budget oversight and event management.

Prior to joining HelmsBriscoe in 2000, Greg served in a number of leadership roles in the hospitality and travel industry. As Senior Vice President of Marketing for Travelclick, Greg oversaw re-branding efforts and significantly increased visibility for the company’s suite of reservations, market intelligence, and e-marking services for hotels worldwide. Before joining Travelclick, Greg served as Senior Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and Reservations for Promus Hotel Corporation, parent company of the Doubletree, Embassy Suites, Hampton Inn, and Homewood Suites brands. In this role, Greg oversaw all outbound sales, marketing and communications efforts for over 1,200 hotels including brand positioning, agency review and selection, reservation system consolidation and restructuring, and coordination of the successful integration efforts between Doubletree and Promus and later Promus and Hilton upon the companies’ merger.

Prior to Promus, Greg was Vice President of Doubletree Hotels Corporation, where he developed the company’s marketing and branding initiatives for the business, leisure and travel agent markets.
